After
breakfast most everybody scattered to a dry place to hibernate thru another
rainy day .... except the birds
.... the birds have been so happy on
the wet spring days !!!

Cuddle Crowd

over ..... the Cuddle Crowd Kitties are
ready for snuggles before the clean up begins.
Luckily for them, only hoomans who want love and cuddles get to work
here !!!! If you don't want to be
mobbed by friends, take turns letting them ride your shoulders, or think
they're in your way .... this ain't the
place for you.
That's why during your initial interview and application you'll be surrounded by critters .... we're watching to see how you'll behave when someone jumps to your shoulders, climbs in your lap, sits on the application you're working on. Act like they annoy or gross you out .... and you're on your way !!!! Act like they're the most precious things in the world and you are very honored to meet them and to be showered with attention .... you might work out !!!!
By the way .... we ARE hiring now. Can YOU be that 1 in a thousand that make the grade to care for the animals of Rikki's Refuge? Interviews are promptly at noon every Saturday at the Life Center .... come on by. It's hard work. It's dirty work. It's heavy work. It's physically active work. You're on your feet all day and you're moving fast to get everything done. And you're very very loved by the animals you are doing it for.

My
cousin Oscar sharing his lunch with a friend at his house
Winds
coming in before heavy rains in the evening.
Even
when the winds try to blow that tail down .... Mr Peacock just can't stop himself
... he spends 4 or 5 months of his life
preening, shaking his tail, flouncing all around, showing off if anybody is
watching or not .... trying to convince
the world he's the most beautiful of all ..... after everyone else has gone under cover knowing what's coming
.... he'll dance and prance till he's
soaked. And still the girls won't pay
one bit of attention!!!
