Good Morning Good News !!!! November 12, 2010

Good Morning Good News !!!!

Hope the sun's gonna come out today!! I sure miss bright and early!!!

Oh it's time to vote!!! Do you keep up voting even on days I'm too busy
to ask?

Pumpkins still at Meadows Farm rt 3 Spotsylvania! Go pumpkin people GO
!!! Can't you find any anywhere. Somebody brought some home to their
house in Gordonsville and need them picked up from there and brought to
Rikki's. Only a car full - let me know if YOU can do it!!!

Ask for Mike at Meadow Farms - he's keeping the pumpkins in the back for
us - so don't assume they're gone if you don't see any. Also the corn
stalks.

And any place with gourds, corn, indian corn, corn stalks, hay, straw.
We use it all.

See any stands with pumpkins left? They're waiting for you to bring out
for the pigs and goat and sheep and cows and rabbits and guinea pigs and
chickens. Everybody loves pumpkins. Delicious and healthy. And every
day we have enough to feed saves us about $30. So haul in the pumpkins!!!!

And the Fancy Feast !!!

Today is tour time! Yippee NOON tour - about two hours, all outside, so
dress for the weather. That means layers, cuz it goes from hot to cold
quick this time of year. One can of cat food admission per person.
Gates open at 11:30 am.

2 pm is the Nature Hike. Wear blaze orange. Admission is one case of
cat food. It's several miles over pristine trails, blazed by the deer.
Good footwear!

Today Bob is coming out with 14 round bales of hay - DONATED !!!!!

Tom got the railroad ties donated to set the kitty litter trailers on.
Yippee !!!! Bob is bringing them too!!!

Are you missing me? I'm writing Reflections the newsletter and working
real hard to get it to the printer quick. It's going good and folks
contributed lots of good stories. I want to share with you but then
I'll spoil all your fun. So I guess you'll have to wait!

Start writing stories for the spring edition! YOU can be a published
writer!

Dog alerts sleeping Mays Landing family to burning hairbrush, saving
them from toxic smoke

You DO have at least two dogs and two cats sharing your home don't you?
If not be quick to adopt. It's very healthy to have a multi species
household. You know we're really good for your health!

I need a gift that I can't eat. Bummer, I hate asking for those!

A pallet jack. If you don't have one you can donate then can we borrow
it for the next 10 months - or any portion there of - while we use up
our kitty litter that will be delivered Tuesday. We will need to move
the pallets about in the trailer to load into our pickup and haul to
Feline Fields! We need a hydraulic lift type and not electric. The
electrics are way to heavy to lift in the trailers and they require
charging and we don't have electricity near the trailers.

I also need YOU to put on your thinking cap to figure out how to get 800
sq ft of storage at the refuge. Permanent storage. We're renting two
trailers - like tractor trailers - for now. It'd be better to put that
money to use buying something so we have it for next time. Think think
think ask ask ask - there must be a solution. A little birdie told me
Melissa might have the answer, keep paws crossed!

Good Good Good News and Proof that your prayers work. Rene's sister's
brain tumor has shrunk 25% in 4 months of treatment - keep it up - let's
get it gone!

I'm going to meet a kitty named Ting Ting who cam from Katmandu today!
I wonder if they have different kitty talk?

Our division Wild and Feral had their speuter clinic earlier this week
and spayed 20 kitties!! 16 of them were females. Do the math !!! How
many kitties not gonna be born that nobody is gonna want.

Greene County, Virginia - Rabies Clinic - you don't have to be a
resident, just have a cat or dog!

$10.00 a pop and you don't even take your animal out of the car!!
Thanks you Dr. John Hayes for donating your time and vaccine!

Docs who love the animals and help in the rescue world too are the
coolest. Everybody wants to go to a doc who really cares about the
animals. Like MY docs! I went to see Doc Vargas yesterday. I was
coughing. I got a shot that lasts for two weeks so I don't have to get
pills crammed down my throat twice a day. I got nose drops too, not
sure I'm gonna say thank you for that!

Kathy is helping me start something news! Vincent's Secrets! Great
tips on things for your critters at home. Trust me, my secrets are way
better than Victoria's! Hey, maybe by next Christmas you can give
Vincent's Secrets to all your friends!

I gotta get back on the newsletter.

I love you very very much and hope to see you at noon today,
Vincent

PS If you don't want your Daily Good News, just let me know! A couple
of you have said you only want Hairballs with out the Good News!!
That's ok! Just tell me. I'm here to make you happy, just tell me how!
If Good New don't make you happy - I could always start Bad News, but,
as you hoomans say, why reinvent the wheel - that's what you've got tv
and newspapers for !!!!!
