Well, so the first litter truck came yesterday. The trucking company
decided to assign one driver for the day, so he'd pick up the first
load, just drop it off - cuz we're keeping the trailers and renting them
for now - go back for the second, drop it off ........
And it rained. And it rained. And it rained. And it got muddier and
muddier and ......
Yup, the truck got stuck. We all worked and ended up pulling the truck
out with three vehicles. All had 4wd drive. One pick up, one suv and
one station wagon all hooked up together and pulling .... pop the big
truck got unstuck. If it hadn't a been raining mom would have got a
good video!!
And the driver said, ANOTHER trip into this swamp!!! Ha ha ha I don't
think so. But the litter had to be out of the plant right then and
there. No ifs and or buts. It had to go. So the driver said he'd just
take it home and bring it back one day after all the rain and mud had
dried up. Paws crossed .......
This time last year it would have been snow and snow and more feet of
snow. So there is some Good News here - it stayed warm and it's rain!!
Maybe there's something good about living where it's cold. We don't got
no alligators. I think they look really scary.

Mommey says today is the last day to make reservations for Sunday's pre
Thanksgiving for the Animals. See www.RikkisRefuge.org for details.
This is a time to be thankful, and to socialize. It won't be at the
refuge so mommey won't be distracted. If you've wanted to visit with
mommey and talk to her - this would be a great time to do it. When
she's here at the farm she's always busy and distracted paying attention
to us!
Not sure about the eats? Eating vegetarian or vegan means lots of
wonderful delectable and often very creative nums. Some people just
think about what they're not eating. But there's millions of delicious
things to eat that aren't animals! Here's just few of the items you may
experience on Sunday.

We're doing Angel Tree's for fundraising. That's a tree or gift center
in stores, offices and gathering places with ornaments or pictures they
can "buy" for a donation, or with wishes printed on them so they can buy
something in the store and put in a bin for us. Do you have a business
or do you work at one or know one who'd like a Rikki's Angel Tree?
Can you do this?
