APRIL IS CATS VERSUS DOGS CONTEST MONTH

This is everybody's favorite time, when Vincent and Bandit square off, to see who can bring in the most funds. Send in your contributions marked for cats or for dogs, and let's see who has the most fans. Vincent has always won this contest, paws down. Come on dog folks! Are you going to let this happen again? Just because Bandit lies down on the job, are you going to join him? We still have a week to go, and Vincent is way in the lead. That boy can really take off on three legs!

THE DOG WINNER GETS A FREE GROOMING!
“Oh, yuck!”, says Bandit, “no wonder we never win!” Apparently Bandit thinks the highest donor on the dog’s side, should get 4,862 Pupperonies, and a pile of chew toys! But Deloris thinks you'd rather have a grooming by her outstanding mobile groomer. Send your contributions marked for dogs, the highest contributor during the month of April, will receive a certificate for a free grooming for their dog. Please fill our bowls.

THE CAT WINNER GETS CATS SOUNDTRACK!
That's Vincent singing and howling, waiting for breakfast to arrive! Just kidding, this CD is the sound track from the play CATS - this version is originally remastered at Abbey Road Studios, London, Deluxe Edition - music by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. And it's yours for being the biggest Cat Contributor during the Cats Versus Dogs Contest. I appreciate those of you who think big, but remember good things come in small packages, like Fancy Feast.

Send your contributions to Rikki's Refuge, PO Box 1357, Orange VA 22960 or logon to PayPal and use our e-mail address mail@RikkisRefuge.org mark your contributions for cats or dogs.

Join in the fun sign, up to receive Hairballs, the e-mail newsletter with all the stories of what’s coming up in the crazy world of Animal Antics, brought to you by the critters of Rikki’s Refuge, send your request to mail@RikkisRefuge.org

Don’t miss Sponsor Appreciation Day, an Open House at Rikki’s Refuge, April 28 from noon until 4 p.m. Tours run every half hour, refreshments and vegan yummies, the Great Baldino performs his magic show at 1 p.m. This special event is free tour Family Members. Admission for others is one can of cat or dog food. Rikki's Refuge No Kill Animal Sanctuary, www.RikkisRefuge.org

Nanny is a very determined goat, if she has to submit a thousand photos, she intends to win. She misunderstood when I told her the prize was a T-shirt, she's getting a little hard of hearing, and she thought I said a ton of Oreos.

It's not that we cats can't get involved in the sort of silly, degrading activities, it's just that we have more dignity than to participate in such things.

Here, recovering feral cats, who no longer need to be caged, but are still on treatment and not yet ready to return to their home, can lounge about on the 32 square feet this cat tree provides, high out of reach of humans with pill poppers and syringes.
