Animal Welfare League of Arlington Announces First Clinic Date for Feral
The Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA) kicked off their
Trap-Neuter-Return program last week with a Helping Community Cats
workshop presented by Alley Cat Allies. Now the shelter is ready to
begin taking clinic reservations for feral cats! Feral cat caregivers in
Arlington County are invited to take part.

vaccinated for rabies and distemper. Caregivers will be called in the
afternoon when the cats are available for pickup.

This program is being offered at no cost to residents of Arlington County.

Melissa writes in:

Hi All! I just received a phone call from the Petsmart in Central Park.
They have had no other rescue groups contact them about doing pictures
with Santa, so they have offered us the other 2 dates! That means that
we will be there for all 3 weekends! So, I need a bit more help. Here
is what I need:

Saturday, Dec. 4 -- someone to be Santa, and 1 extra person

Saturday, Dec. 11 -- someone to be Santa

Sunday, Dec. 19 -- 3 people, which includes 1 person to be Santa, 1
person to take the pictures, and 1 person to run the printer. I'll be
there, so I can be an extra, or take one of the jobs. I just don't think
that I would make a convincing Santa.

Petsmart supplies everything except for the people. They have the Santa
suit, camera, printer, frames, etc. If you are interested in helping,
please let me know asap. This is a great opportunity to raise some
money for the animals!
