Meet Sassy and Friends
Sassy is an old gal who’s been at Rikki’s for several years now. Dumped by her owners cus she and boyfriend Ralph were getting old. Their owners couldn’t bear the thought of watching them grow “that” old. So they figured better to dump them while they still had some life left in them and head home with cute little puppies.
At Rikki’s, we think gals like Sassy are absolutely adorable. We don’t care that with no teeth in her mouth her tongue hangs out. And with a mild stroke she’s a bit droopy on the left. We just care that she’s happy and that she’s loved every day of her life. She spends most of her time sleeping with Ralph.
Ralph and Sassy, were inseparable for years before coming to Rikki’s and they’ll remain together for the rest of their natural lives at Rikki’s Refuge.
They get up in the morning for a long walk about, have breakfast, sleep most of the day ways and have another long walk about in the evening before dinner and settling in for a long cozy night.
Navigator and Amelia are buddies. They get very jealous of anyone else trying to get into their twosome. It’s a very delicate balance to keep them feeling equally loved and being careful not to lavish more attention on one than the other. If they feel out of balance they’ll get into a tiff. Own they’re own they’re best buddies.
Dogs? Huh? This is a DOG house? Could of fooled me!
Our beloved Nanny Goat, the oldest goat on the planet. We thank every day she’s still with us!
