The
turkeys were the stars of the show on ThanksLiving day. Everybody on the tour brought them nummies and had a really good time
meeting real live Turkeys and learning how interactive and fun they are. And how much more fun it is to spend time
with them on ThanksLiving, then to ....
well you know.

Dottie's

everything turned out all right and he's doing fine.

her a donation when she wraps presents for them at Piggy Paradise .... they

tried going to Barnes and Noble to wrap in a climate controlled area with no

But they stopped her at the door and said NO NO NO NO .......

Friends, would you like to be one of Vincent's Elves? Our Angel Tree Gift Giving program is very important this time of
year. We place a Christmas Giving Tree
for Rikki's Refuge in many stores. Then
if you are shopping there you can take an ornament & purchase something for
one of the 1,300 animals here at Rikki’s Refuge.
AND
I need Elves to set up the trees .... in our regular locations OR as your
favorite shop if they'll let you set up a tree for Rikki's Refuge !!! Almost every body says YES !!! And my Elves pick up the donated gifts at
the stores and brings them out to Rikki's.
Cuz as much as we appreciate the gifts .... we can't use 'em till they
get here !!!!

Am I really TOO BIG TO BE LOVED ?
Poor
Sam ..... this adorable little guy got
evicted .... he was "supposed"
to stay small enough to fit in the palm of their hand ..... but .... piggies just don't stay that small ...
REALLY .... no matter what they tell
you .... don't get a piggy for a pet if
you don't want a BIG animal !!!!
Luckily
for Sam ..... and THANKS to wonderful
kind hoomans like YOU .... Sam got to come to Rikki's Refuge. A horrible fate befalls so many
"pet" pigs when they get "too big" .... it's just
horrible. Poor little souls. But YOU help save their lives and give them

As far as Piggies go .... Sam IS really little !!!!
But
he's got a couple hundred pounds to go over the next couple years.
He's not gonna get nearly as big
as Petunia.
Sam
is a pot belly pig, so he'll probably top under 200 pounds .... but some of our bigger guys are over 300
pounds.
For a while longer, we can
cuddle him!
Remember Mouky ?
He
arrived at Rikki's Refuge unable to walk.
For 18 months he'd just laid there, wetting himself and dragging to the
food bowl. Then he took a very long
airplane ride and we picked him up at the airport. And physical therapy began.
In two weeks he was taking a few steps.
And
he's exercised and gotten better and better each and every day. Now he gets to run around and play with others and have a wonderful time.
This
has been a goal for a long time .... to jump up high for the big view !!!!!
