More pics later - when mom let's me back on MY puter!

My sisfur Polly Anna - remember the gal who lost her tail and got fixed
up and adopted too - she came. This was her first show learning how to
be a spokes kitty. She writes:

Dear Vincent -- Thank you so much for inviting me to join you at the
National Capitol Cat Show in Chantilly VA this weekend. I had a great
time! It was fun to see all the people with big hearts stop by to learn
more about Rikki's Refuge, always pausing to pet you and me. Gato Noir
is very jealous I spent the weekend with you, but I assured him you
invited me along as a friend to learn the ropes of how to charm hoomans
at festivals and events. (I think he bought it wink, wink!!).

Well, I have to apologize for all the times I made fun of you at the
Ninth Life Center - whenever you bragged about how many friends you had
out in cyberspace. We all thought you were just being silly, telling
"tall tails" about your popularity on something called "Facebook". Well,
I stand corrected! You do have a fan club that must span the globe! I
don't think 5 minutes ever went by when someone wasn't stopping by to
meet the "famous Mr. Vincent" from Facebook. You change lives, Vincent!
You touch hooman's hearts and souls like no other cat I have met. Just a
few of the many examples from this weekend:

- a very nice young man came by to hold you and pet me, saying he
was interested in joining Katarina's Youth Group at Rikki's. His Mom
told me he was the only one in the family that loves cats (how can that
be possible?). She said Saturday was his 15th birthday, and the only
thing he wanted for his birthday was to go to the Cat Show!! Isn't that
amazing? What an unselfish kid!! I sure hope he emails Katarina to join
the group. He was very gentle with me and I could see he touched your
heart, Vincent!

- a 73 year old former French teacher stopped by and fell in love
with us (well, me - sorry Vincent!). She told us about how she taught
compassion along with a foreign language, knowing that kids in junior
high were at risk of losing sight of their humanity at that fragile age.
She said she was very upset about her daughter who lived far away and
was going to die of MS, and she asked my Mom if I was up for adoption.
She said she needed "something soft and sweet to cuddle with - who knew
what pain was about". I thought for a second Mom was about to let me go
home with Madame la Grange!!

- a nice girl seemed to be especially charmed with your performance
on the Agility Track - she asked my Mom a thousand questions about the
three legged cat scooting his butt around the floor. Her questions were
all answered to her satisfaction, and of course all the kids cheered
loudly at your finish at the Agility Trials. Well, a short time later
that young lady found you at the Rikki's table, and of course cuddled
you and talked to you and pet you and again asked a thousand questions
about you and how you get around. When she went over to look at the
sweet kittens up for adoption, her mom told my Mom that the girl was
severely autistic, and that "cats were her focus/obsession." She only
talks when it's about cats. And with a tear in her eye she said she was
so happy to see how much her daughter took to you, Vincent. She searched
the whole Cat Show floor to find the three-legged cat who was brave
enough for the Agility Track!!! If a little cat can be that brave, then
she could be too!!!

I love you, Mr Vincent. I love how you change the world, one hooman
heart at a time!!

Your friend, Miss Polly

Love you so much, thank you for helping at the cat show or for visiting
me, I'll be back later,
Vincent

PS If you don't want your Daily Good New, just let me know! A couple of
you have said you only want Hairballs with out the Good News!! That's
ok! Just tell me. I'm here to make you happy, just tell me how! If
Good New don't make you happy - I could always start Bad News, but, as
you hoomans say, why reinvent the wheel - that's what you've got tv and
newspapers for !!!!!
