We keep about 15 pools filled for the animals all around the refuge.

If you'd like to help us replace the pools that have worn out over the winter, you can pick one up at Dollar General or just about anywhere and bring it down for Donation Drop Off, Saturday noon till 2. We've had trees fall and smash our fencing in a few spots !!! it's one of those regular things. We need good strong fencing to keep our animals contained and safe. It's a constant expense and constant work.

Our shelters are in need of repair... we use these shelters to get out of the rain and snow and to escape the summer heat. Sometimes we kick the walls or chew on them ..... but lots of the damage is just from time and weather.

We share these houses with the goats too and they like to butt into the walls lots of time. I don't get this whacking your head against stuff all the time.

Our food trays always take a beating This is one of the many many many broken trays we use daily trying to get a few more feedings from them before they get tossed away, Donations of food trays would be a real blessing. Our animal friends would greatly appreciate it !!

You can find nice large plastic platters at Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Big Lots and no doubt, many other places. Please pick some up for Donation Drop off Days!!

We go threw dozens of bags of wood pellets weekly. We use it as eco-friendly cat litter. It works great !!!

In the winter time we can compare prices and use wood stove pellets, in the summer time we use horse bedding pellets .... they're really exactly the same .... just packaged differently. They run about $5.99 a bag. Right now if we buy a pallet at a time, 2,000 pounds, of the wood stove pellets, we can gat a discount to only $5.47 a bag. You might not think it's worth shopping hard for that 52 cent discount .... but when you buy in the quantity we do .... it's a huge savings.

Any donations of wood pellets would be purrrrrrrrrrfect !!!!! All year round !!!! We need about 100 bags a week, two pallets !!! It's a good habit!! Easier to clean kitty poo from the boxes then from the yards.

They are beautiful !! And check out the construction of that tail. It's really fascinating ... all the different size and shape feathers. All designed to hold the tail for flight, or lift it for displaying, and to shake for that most important rustle to talk to the females. See the poofy white feathers? That's called the bustle.
