at Rikki's Refuge
We
have a sad today. Our doggy Swamp Fox
has gone to Rainbow Bridge.
Swamp
Fox joined us at Rikki’s Refuge in 2006 as an energetic Coonhound who loved to
play with the other dogs living in Doggy Downs #1. He was a sweet dog who was a friend of other dogs but very very
skittish of hoomans.
His
life changed forever when Pebbles, a mixed breed of hound and who knows what,
joined us not long after. Pebbles was
terrified of hoomans too. She fell in
love with Swamp Fox immediately.
From
that day on, Swamp Fox was the most protective dog we ever saw, always stepping
in front of Pebbles to keep her protected from hoomans. He also loved to play with the dogs that
were out in the exercise lot, always barking up a storm.
Pebbles
passed over Rainbow Bridge last year and Swamp Fox became sad and lonely. He still loved his treats, though!! And other dogs, but life was just not the
same for this poor aging doggy.
He
was a good boy who loved to run and hang out with Pebbles. Now they are playing together at Rainbow
Bridge.
The
cows enjoyed the warm morning and the sprouting grass.
Now
that's one Wet and Woolly Cow !!!
We
had great big huge calamity today too.
There
was no water this morning ..... so the
emergency call to the well company went out ..... meanwhile the hoomans had to carry water to all animal
neighborhoods cus it's too muddy to be able to drive around .... ugghhhhh .....
no hoomans were very happy this morning .....
With
the hoomans busy Volvo took on the task of supervising the well repairs.

It
turned out to be a broken electrical line running to the well so they had to
replace several hundred feet of cable ....

Early
in the morning it was 46 and cloudy, pretty warm.... but then the temp started
dropping, but no more rain came, except what was falling off wet wet wet trees
!!!! We even got a little bit of blue
skay and then some SUN in the late afternoon !!!! But the evil weather hooman says it's gonna freeze overnight so
the world will be covered in ice again tomorrow .... uugghhh.

ready you can see the grass sprouting from all the rain!!

Before
being adopted, Candy lived in the kitty room at Re-Tail. We had a tv in there
to play Video Catnip for the kitties --
she would sit and look at her reflection in the tv for hours on end. So, we put a mirror in there, and she would
sit if front of it for hours admiring herself!
When she went to her forever home she wanted a mirror of her own .... so back to Re-Tail she came to shop !!!! Now she can look at her beauty all day long !!!!

feeding everyone !!!
