Good Morning Good News !!!! October 29th, 2010

Good Morning Good News !!!!

What a wonderfully, spectacularly, beautiful morning! Yes, it's a bit
chilly, but stunningly beautiful. The colors are all in the West this
morning, funny, I thought sunrise was in the East. This guy is streaked
with 100 beautiful shades of pink and purple and orange it's just
unbelievable. And the sun is streaking through the clouds and glowing
off the yellow and gold and orange leaves on the hillside. It is really
breathtaking!

Were calling my new friend Patches for now.

You be so happy to know he improved even more overnight. He sitting up
and walking almost like a normal kitty. Last night he began to be able
to see light. His pupils are still not functioning properly, but he is
definitely detecting light. All your paws and toes crossed for full
return of his eyesight!!!!

I'm an elephant today, what are you?

First thing I do every morning is go to my website so I can click on the
$100,000 and vote for Rikki's Refuge. WOW the little widget on my
website, www.RikkisRefuge.org has a big red WEATHER ADVISORY notice -
wow does that mean like tornado or something? So I click on it to see
what kind of disaster to expect, and it says it might get cold enough to
freeze tonight. So is this like a disaster? A weather advisory? Or is
this like perfectly normal for this time of year? How come them hooman
are always looking for a disaster? Why not be happy and enjoy the
moment like us kitties do?

Do you know what eye shine is? Have you ever seen the eyes of hundreds
of animals all want up at the same time in the middle of the night?
It's really neat. Even spiders have bright blue eyes. The roosters up
in the trees shine their eyes too.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tapetum_lucidum

To see it really really well, it has to be dark and you have to hold a
light right up close to your eyes but shining towards the animal you
want to see. Then the whole world just lights up with eyes everywhere!

Maybe we'll put Eye Shine Tours on the calendar, what do you think?

on the events, tours, and fun things to do in 2011? Tell me!

This is a fun thing to do, especially since you can do it from your
